Leonardo Da Vinci's CV rejected by two HR specialists - a BBC social experiment - UPDATE

Writer: Impari FrancescoImpari Francesco

A BBC social experiment - The @BBC edited Leonardo da Vinci's #CV into an anonymous modern format and submitted it to #HR experts. The result gives us an outlook on our society.

Short story:

Da Vinci was rejected by both the experts for the following reasons: lack of synthesis & lack of specialisation. (Note: the complete story can be found here - Da Vinci's CV rejected by two HR specialists - a BBC social experiment )

Personal take outs:

  1. Business interactions appear to be greater in volume and this obliges everyone to dedicate less time on a single conversation. Thus, everything must be concise.

  2. Large organisations (especially) tend to define a narrow framework of responsibilities for each employee. Too narrow for da Vinci apparently.

The Update

In 2018 a Spanish TV program (This is art) replicated the same BBC social experiment. This time, the HR experts' evaluations were recorded.
